Ché Games for May: Musical Promo

(Manual Scan/Lemons Are Yellow veterans Paul Kaufman and Dave Fleminger put the jangle in the world’s first Che Underground jingle!)

The Casbah — live since 1989Hey Ché fans, Dave Fleminger and myself have put together a little musical promo for our much-anticipated reunion at the end of May at the Casbah in San Diego.

Here are the lyrics, so you can sing along at home:

All you Rockin’ Dogs on the blog,
Meet us there.
The Wallflowers still have raw power!
You can see them there!

Dig the Ché! At the Games for May.
Hair Theatre! Gay Dennys! The Answers!
At the Games for May.
Jerry C. is your MC at the Casbah Club.
Paul Howland is the DJ,
He’ll be stepping dub.
Manual Scan! At the Games for May.
Noise 292! The Mirrors! Special Guests!
At the Games for May.
… Taste the Fury, Babyface!

Listen to it now!

  1. How about KSDT, the student station at UCSD? Or is there a more current internet radio equivalent?

    And yes, that’s Paul ‘n’ Dave 🙂

  2. We want to come to San Diego in May, but the injections could really never play, like the monkees and willy vanilly we were, we never could perform fer sure. Start a riot get arrested, wind up in the rubber room and be molested, surf bird rock and fight twin finners, go to the moon cafe for rancid dinners. Get busy with a Mexican senorita, fly to Berlin to see NY Peter. Drive to Helsinki to get Gary P. Lear jet over to wind and sea. Call Tim Mays to get on the list. The reunion show must not be missed!

  3. You guys all make me look like the sane one. Nice in a small town and with my little family. My kids are just tickled and pickled that daddy knows people named Skum and Dogbite and such…and yeah…Lou Skum should be nominated for Mr. Obama’s press secretary…there’s change we could all embrace doncha think?
