Cardiac Kidz reloaded

(The Cardiac Kidz’s Jim Ryan announces an eclectic night of musical merriment Nov. 4 at Lestat’s Coffee House in San Diego.)

The Cardiac Kidz are winding down their 2010 San Diego “Performance Blitz” tour with the end of the year finally in sight. The band has played an unheard of 10 shows in less than six months.

From what started as a onetime reunion show to an expanded booking schedule, The Kidz have even gone so far as to add the talents of David Rinck (frontman for San Diego’s Wallflowers) to the band.

They played at clubs like O’Connell’s, Dream Street, and Brick by Brick outside their genre and presented themselves as a force of change once again in the San Diego music scene.

The Cardiac Kidz are winding up their Performance Blitz tour by playing at such clubs as Lestat’s; Bar Eleven; and currently working out nights at the Tower Bar; Bar Pink and perhaps the Casbah before the end of the year comes to take all those wonderful memories away into the past.

The Cardiac Kidz, then and now!

Nov. 4 is a special night for the Cardiac Kidz as they enter Lestats’s to perform their songs from their released import LP “Get OUT!” along with a couple of covers “redux” into their post punk sound now emerging from the 21st century version of the Kidz band.

Jerry Flack and Jim Ryan, original Cardiac Kidz members, have put together a new group and sound with David “Wallflower” Rinck on rhythm guitar/vocals. It is even rumored that drummer Jimi Flynn will join the Kidz for the last leg of their “Performance Blitz” tour. The show will be broadcast and live streamed on the Internet.

To add to the excitement, the show will be recorded live for a future CD release next year. The Cardiac Kidz will be stepping into the recording studio starting next year with Renaissance man David Fleminger. The Kidz will perform with San Diego’s new band sensation hING and renowned band the Fairmount Extension as well as San Diego’s own infamous DJ Dubstep master P Man.

Also put on the calendar Dec. 2, when the Cardiac Kidz appear at Bar Eleven with special friends the Baja Bugs.

And a special note: December the Kidz will also see the US CD re-release of the import Rave-Up Records vinyl record “Get Out!” from the Cardiac Kidz.

  2. This show will be broadcasted on the internet “JUSTINTV.com” channel search “cardiackidz” for those of you out of town. Were hoping to pull this one off folks. Rumor has it that LESTAT”S has a cell phone jammer and this could block the broadcast (Hey you should be there anyway music should be heard live!!). We’ll be testing it out at the venue during the sound checks. The show starts at 9:00pm. Don’t miss the event of the year!!! Live broadcast…live recording…even the bands will live!? 🙂
