The hand-tinting on the Social Suicide is to DIE for! Harold Gee says his came that way ... That's a lot of TLC if all the copies got that treatment.

Thanks Toby for scanning those! I just read the Be My Friend and got a kick out of it, especially when Terry wrote "we got bored and left" in his review of the Untouchables' show at the International Blend.

And I loved this review of a Hedgehogs party:
"Mods came and danced around. Punks came too and broke a fence and got drunk and got into fights. Then the cops came and broke up the party. So, who had the most fun?"

Would it be possible to scan File0009 a little bigger? I would love to see those pictures a little bit better.

RE Hobogue: I love all the phone numbers. (Remember Y-Lee from the Trowsers? I hadn't!)

Between Rock 'n' Roll Heaven and "Be My Friend" benefits at the Eagles Club, Santee is starting to sound like the happenin' spot ...

Here's an ad for Harold Gee's "Party Paper."

I'd love the killer OCR package that would let us suck all the content into live, searchble text. These mags are aa GOLD MINE of information about what we were doing, seeing and thinking. It's like going into one of those houses in Pompeii! :-)

If anyone wants to stake out a claim on calling out 'zine highlights, 'twould be a big service.

I LOVE being included in a fanzine that has Iggy Pop, Go-Gos, Penetrators, and Zeros in it. Boy, them was the days!!

It mentions the Injections new record and the fact that Lou Skum is in jail for being AWOL.

Thanks for posting!!!!!!

Snare was such a funny zine, how many issues were there of snare? The issue i have (need to dig it up) but in the record reviews, i forget the bands name but the album was titled "drinking my own sperm" and Dan's review was something like "it gets 5 stars just for the title". I was like 17 when this came out, i was expecting normal reviews, so that was new for me. Then he'd draw pictures of the band members for interviews, with one blank saying "wasn't available for photo" I know it doesn't sound funny how I'm explaining it, but i just thought "wow, this is fucking cool and this guy's just doing it his own way".
