You know where it's from, but for the folks who don't, it's from a panel in the first issue of Vampyrates where Jeromy (the artist) drew me in. And for the full history, Vampyrates is a comic book I'm co-writing with Jeromy. I came up with the concept, not as a comic book, but as a Halloween costume -- I couldn't decide whether to be a vampire or a pirate, so I dressed as a pirate and put in my vampire teeth. Merged the names together, and voila! Jeromy thought the concept was great and, as comic artists do, decided it'd be a great comic. And promptly took over ten years to bring it to fruition. After the first issue came out, I gave him loads of critiques on the story and dialogue. So he asked me to write the follow-up issues, as the publisher was asking for more. Thus far, I've fully written three issues (Jeromy is several pages into the drawing of the first of those), and I'm 90% of the way done with a side-story issue and about 20% of the way into another issue of the main series.
